FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New Water Usage Restrictions

Lakeview, Oregon, July 27, 2022 – Effective August 1 through October 31, 2022, the Town of Lakeview is implementing water restrictions for all water customers to help conserve our water while we are in drought conditions.

The restrictions include the following actions for all Town of Lakeview water customers: Landscape and yard watering is prohibited between the hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. You may water in the evening after 6 p.m. or in the early morning before 9 a.m.

Watering tip: When the sun goes down, let your sprinklers pop up. By watering after sunset and completing landscape watering before sunrise, as parks and campuses do, you will avoid losing moisture to evaporation. The best time to water is during the night between 9 p.m. and 3 a.m.

We appreciate your willingness to contribute to water conservation.

Report water waste: Do you notice water being used outside of these parameters? Are you noticing that residents are still watering in the middle of the day? Lakeview residents are encouraged to report water waste by submitting complaints to the Town’s Public Works Department (photo and video submissions of violations are encouraged), or emailing adminpw@townoflakeview.org with information, including description and address.

For other questions or concerns, call (541) 947-2020.
