Burning Restrictions

As of 12:01 10/22, the ODF, county, and fire departments in Lake County will lift burning restrictions.  Permits are still required and can be obtained by calling Lake County dispatch center. Permits can be used to burn natural materials free of paints, plastic, etc. Permits are only good during daylight hours, all fires must be extinguished by sunset. Residents wishing to burn are responsible for any escaped fires and should carefully prepare burn piles to ensure that the risk of spread is reduced. 

 Open burning will close on November 1, 2022.
