LEGAL NOTICE AND MANDATORY ACTION DIRECTIVE – (PDF)
TOWN UTILITY INFRASTRUCTURE & WATER CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIP
DATE: November 4, 2026
NOTICE BATCH: Batch 1 of 5
NOTICE OF POTENTIAL SYSTEM LEAK & MANDATORY RESIDENT COMPLIANCE ORDER
TO RESIDENT / PROPERTY OWNER:
Town utility analytics and continuous flow monitoring have identified abnormal, high-volume water consumption patterns or strong indicators of potential infrastructure leaks originating at or within your service connection.
While the Town views infrastructure integrity as a vital partnership between the municipality and its residents, continuous unaccounted water loss creates severe public safety, environmental, and financial strains on the community. This document serves as an official legal notice and mandatory call to action. Continued inaction or failure to comply with the mandated steps below will result in further administrative enforcement, utility service restrictions, or escalation under applicable municipal ordinances.
MANDATORY RESIDENT ACTION STEPS
You are legally required to complete the following sequential steps within the compliance window:
- Contact a Local Licensed Plumber immediately to inspect your property’s internal and external service lines, fixtures, and connection points for leaks.
- Contact Town Hall immediately upon booking to report that you have scheduled an appointment. You must provide the exact Name of the Licensed Plumber at the time of notification.
- Mandatory Plumber Assessment Reporting: Following the evaluation, you or your plumber must submit the official Plumber Assessment and findings report to Town Hall. This step is strictly mandatory to verify system status.
- Accurate Data / High Usage Mitigation: If your property continues to record abnormal or “High Usage” data metrics following initial checks, further diagnostic verification and data logs will be legally required.
- Compliance Deadline: All initial appointments and plumber notifications must be logged with Town Hall no later than 7 Days from Notice.
- FAILURE TO COMPLY: Should you elect to ignore this notice, you may experience suspension of your municipal water service, additional fees and fines pending the completion of this required action
