CITIZENS ISSUES AND COMMENTS
Members of the public desiring to address the Town Council shall sign in and must be recognized by the mayor and/or the presiding officer for the Town Council prior to speaking. Each person wishing to speak must adhere to the following guidelines for conduct during an official proceeding.
- Be first recognized by the presiding officer.
- Step up and speak from the podium.
- State your name and address for the record.
- Limit your comments to three minutes unless granted an extension of time.
- Speak to the issue of concern. Personal attacks shall not be tolerated, and the Council reserves the right to remove abusive persons from the Council chambers.
- Please do not interrupt or cause a disruption to the conduct of Town’s business.
- If you have an issue with an individual Town employee, please schedule a time to come to talk to the Town Manager regarding your concerns. PERSONAL ATTACKS OR INSULTS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR DURING TOWN COUNCIL OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS AND MAY RESULT IN THE OFFENDING INDIVIDUAL BEING ASKED TO LEAVE THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS.
