Wanted Public Works Maintenance Worker

Wanted Public Works Maintenance Worker.  Duties include a variety of tasks in the construction, maintenance and repair of Town street and utility systems. Operates light, medium and heavy equipment. Does related work as directed.  A significant amount of physical labor will be the duties of this position.  Must be able to dig, shovel and move heavy objects as routine elements of this position. Special emphasis for a probationary period will be on Pool and Parks maintenance during the summer of 2026.  Must have excellent work ethic, pride in your work and be reliable in performance of your duties.  Successful candidate will be hired as a temporary seasonal hire with an opportunity to move into a regular full-time position with Public Works Department in September 2026 upon successfully completing this probationary period.  Starting wages are _$20.82_with health and leave benefits upon completing a 120 day probationary period. This Position serves as Manager at the Town of Lakeview public pool facility. The incumbent is responsible for supervision of pool employees, budget accountability, maintenance of pool facilities, scheduling, safety, providing swimming lessons to the public, and creating a positive public image.

Position is subject to background investigation, drug screen as a safety sensitive position and other possible qualifications tests.

Town of Lakeview Lifeguards – PDF

This position serves as Lifeguard at the Town of Lakeview public pool facility. The incumbent is responsible for lifeguarding at the community pool, collecting pool fees, providing swim lessons to the public, cleaning, and maintenance of pool facilities, and creating a positive public image.

A lifeguard is responsible for surveying a body of water and conducting rescues to help weak or injured swimmers get to safety. Their duties include speaking with swimmers in the water and administering first aid to injured swimmers.

Wanted Two Part-Time Hourly Temporary Executive Assistant Positions – PDF

 The Town of Lakeview is announcing two openings for part-time Executive Assistants to provide professional clerical and administrative support for the Town hall operation.  Applicants are requested to send their current resume and a letter of interest to Town of Lakeview, Oregon by no later than June 19, 2026, by 4pm.  Interviews will be scheduled immediately for the following week; positions will be filled by the Town Council.  Applicants possessing high level clerical and administrative skills are encouraged to apply.  Positions will be for a six-month duration as part-time exempt employees with flexible hours as approved by Town Management.  After six months, the Town may elect to convert these part-time positions into permanent positions at the sole discretion of the Town Council of Lakeview.
