Lake County Fiber Optic Outage Update

LAKEVIEW, OR – The temporary fiber fix Lumen implemented has most users reconnected. Until a permanent solution is reached, IT contingencies will remain in place for critical infrastructure.

“Lake Health District Hospital’s internet has been restored based on the resources the hospital has been given to remedy the internet and internal systems being down due to the Fiber Optic Outage. We are currently testing systems and bringing them up methodically to get the Hospital back to full capacity and functionality to deliver proper patient care.” Lake Health Districts Public Information Officer explains and continues by asking for the community to “please understand it is currently somewhat volatile as we stabilize internally, however, appreciate the support and understanding from the community as we work to be properly and fully restored.”

The 9-1-1 lines at Lake County Dispatch are now fully operational.

Please contact Melanie Lasley at Lake County is you are having connectivity issues from the outage at (541) 947-6003 or mlasley@co.lake.or.us

Updates are being posted on the county website at https://lakecountyor.org and distributed through local media.
