We hope this message finds you well. We’re writing to inform you about a recent billing error that occurred in the last statement, billing due December 25, 2023; service from 11/01/23 to 11/30/23.
Due to an internal software glitch, there was an inadvertent inclusion of a water shut-off turn-on fee of $30.00 on some customer’s statements (sample bill below – notice yellow highlighted area). We want to assure you that if your water has not been shut off this was a mistake, and we have taken immediate action to rectify this error. It has already been reversed from your account.
While this may have appeared on your latest bill, rest assured that it has been completely removed. We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience this may have caused. You can stop in and confirm this with the Utility Clerk or review your next statement in which you will be able to tell that it was removed.
