  • Effective October 23, 2023, the Town of Lakeview 911 Dispatch Center will be a standalone department and all employees will be transferred over. The 911 dispatch center will operate independently from the fire department. This decision has been made to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of emergency response services in our community.

By separating the 911 dispatch center from the fire department, we aim to improve overall emergency response coordination, reduce response times, and ensure a more streamlined communication process with all emergency service agencies, including police, EMS, and others. This change will enable each department to focus on their core responsibilities and better serve the community.

Rest assured, this decision has been carefully considered and is intended to improve our emergency response capabilities, making our community a safer place. We are committed to providing the highest level of service, and we believe this change will contribute to achieving that goal. Thank you for your understanding and support as we work towards a more efficient and effective emergency response system.

Please note that meetings, notices, agendas, resolutions, and postings may be subject to change. Notices to this effect will be posted on the Town of Lakeview’s website.
